The tentative schedule for the UALE 2014 Conference, scheduled for March 26-29, has now been posted on our conference page. It is still in outline form, but conference presenters have been contacted and the schedule is being finalized.  It is shaping up to be an exciting conference, so you can start making your travel plans now!

Three plenary sessions are planned:

"A New Labor Movement for a New Working Class" will link labor unions and worker centers, expanding labor and community partnerships, & the fight for immigrant rights.

"Labor Education: The Next Generation" will address best practices on how people of color, women, and young workers are being recruited into the field of labor education, and new directions in labor education.

"Women Organizing in the Global Economy" will draw from experiences from organizing in the global south, organizing in the informal economy, the global and domestic links, e.g. domestic workers.

Other features include a pre-conference Labor History Tour of Los Angeles, an action in support of a local labor struggle and a cultural evening.
